Small Snuggle ScarfThis yarn texture and colours are so beautiful that the simple pattern looks really good on both sides. I used one skein of yarn for this neck wrap. The scarf is wide but short, so I accessorized it with a pretty pin. Happy knitting in the fall!

September AccessoriesFor my September small knits I picked Japanese "paper" yarn again. This necklace matches the jacket I made in June. This bracelet is made of Habu silk stainless steel yarn. Happy knitting in the fall!
End of Summer Colourful SlippersOne of the fastest knits ever! And a great way to do some stash toss. This skein of Argentinian yarn (purchased in Buenos Ares in 2013) was forgotten and had been sitting in my stash for years. The colour was not to my taste, and I didn't have enough for a bigger knit. But it looks really good in these moccasin slippers! To see more knits for the feet - click on images below. Bye, summer! Happy knitting!!
Summer by the Lake ShawlOne of the best wraps in the summer is something 'cool' - like this baktus scarf. It is good to use linen, bamboo, or cotton for summer knitting. For this shawl I picked silk - the touch is amazing and it feels great! Happy knitting!
A Crisp Summer Day TopThe top is made of the Habu yarn - a mixture of so called 'paper' yarn (made from 100% linen) and silk. Click on the image above to see the shosenshi paper yarn and find out why it feels crisp. The pattern is very simple - stockinette stitch. The edges are crocheted. Love knitting :-) More photos of this top - in the Gallery
Unicorn HatIt was so much fun to knit this Unicorn Hat! The hat itself was knit in the round on double pointed needles. Then I crocheted this beautiful purple horn and stitched it to the top centre of the hat. Then I made these two cute ears. Then the small roses. The last step was a colourful mane - each part of it was stitched to the hat. It was magic!! The first try was on a snowman on a wonderfully weird April day - it snowed! The hat was fitting very well. " Everything is better with a unicorn." "Keep calm because unicorns are real!" "You may have stopped believing in unicorns, but they never stopped believing in you."
Lust auf winterWhat you need to keep yourself warm and to enjoy winter is to dress your neck. It can be a long scarf or a short one - all neck ideas work! For the two scarves I made for my daughters, I picked fluffy and textured yarn - two-colour mohair. It was a very easy knit - stockinette stitch and a couple of evenings! Stay well, warm and loved!
Tatiana's DayJanuary 25th - Tatiana's Day in Russia - my Angel Day. On that day I kept working on my January project - Snowy Hoody. I made it! ... and am wearing it today - on my wedding anniversary day! This 'Snowy Hoody' is a knitted 'replica' of what I was wearing on my wedding day 40 years ago. I used 6 different types of yarn: various texture (Alpaka, Silk, Wool) and different shades (from white to off-white) Life is never the same - like yarn texture and colour :-) And there are several knitting patterns - Garter Stitch, some 'rough' Stockinette Stitch, and my favourite Cables - Simple Twist and Arrow Cable Stitch. Reflects marriage? Sure! This knit is a combination of hood and snood. Happy Knitting!
