These textured stitches let certain shades stand out and provide a smooth transition of colors.
I used the Italian BERROCO Carousel: 52% Wool and 48% Acrylic. And even though I didn't have to experiment with the color combinations (it was all in the yarn), I enjoyed that mental preparation for the color-changing season.
Does knitting for fall during the summer months make sense? Totally! You beat the clock! You take your time, and you are finished before the first chill hits. My summer-to-fall project is this multicoloured cardigan.
Look at the colors! You have both summer and fall palette here. Mixing bright, vibrant, and deep tones creates a beautiful, eye-catching contrast that easily bridges the gap between summer and fall. 
By the time autumn rolls around, I'll have a cozy handmade piece ready to wear the moment the temperature drops.

Urban Beach Bracelet Card 
For this bracelet I used leftover yarn. It was not easy for me to focus on one colour, and I decided to use many of them in these little bits of leftover yarn.

The other name for these wrist warmers is April.Andes. Atacama Wrist Warmers.
April is autumn in Chile (I lived there in 2013). And it can be quite chilly in Chile at that time!!  So I had to knit something! As you can see, I made these cute wrist warmers. That helped a lot! The knit pattern: cables and double seed stitch.  Crocheted edge. Plus the colours of the desert.... Click on any of the images to learn and see more
