February: Florida Tropical Shawl

The inspiration came from  beautiful Florida - the sun, the sky, the flowers, and all the tropical colours.
So when I saw the Lang Yarns Tropical in 
Knit or Knot Yarns
(Jupiter, Florida), I knew I could make something from it.

LANG Yarns TROPICAL 
made in Italy
3 balls 50g each 165 m
It is soft , light and spun with breathable cotton (50%) and durable manufactured fibers -acrylic (50%).

The loose twist of Tropical keeps the yarn lightweight, while a fun, multi-color ply gives the yarn a cool, dimensional self-striping look.The soft stripes & beautiful drape make this yarn ideal for summer scarves, tees, ¾ sleeve tops, cardigans & modern ponchos.

Pattern:
In the Knit or Knot Yarns, I purchased the Marmel Shawl Pattern by Brian Smith and followed it except for Section Two which I made in a different lace motive.
